Autoridades desplegaron 300 militares en Guanajuato tras masacre

Today, construction on Pflugerville's Downtown East Project officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony. The groundbreaking marks a major milestone for the City as construction of a multi- generational recreation center, city hall and community plaza will create an extension of downtown Pflugerville eastward to the northwest corner of FM 685 & E. Pecan Street. This new construction phase reflects our commitment to community priorities focused on downtown improvements based on years of public input gathered through the Downtown Action Plan, community surveys, and the Aspire Pflugerville 2040 Comprehensive Plan. “Through this Downtown East Project, we construct a first-of-its-kind space for Pflugerville residents and visitors to enjoy,” Mayor Victor Gonzales said. “It is a significant undertaking and shows the commitment of your city government with this investment in our downtown. It is a testament to hardworking community members who advocated for shared and social spaces including a city hall, multi- generational recreation center and civic plaza. Once complete, this project offers a profound impact on our City, as it extends downtown Pflugerville, encourages a walk along the Gilleland Creek Trail, and welcomes residents to gather in the heart of our city.” The City of Pflugerville’s Downtown East Project is a public-private partnership (P3) to develop the 29- acre Pfluger Tract, located in the city’s core, at the northwest corner of FM 685 and E. Pecan Street. The first construction phase extends Main Street eastward to FM 685 and introduces key community assets, including a new City Hall, a multi-generational recreation center, a central plaza, parking and supporting infrastructure. The Civic Plaza will include outdoor gathering spaces, a stage for performances and nature-inspired play areas, fostering a vibrant and versatile space for community engagement. The City is working in partnership with Griffin Swinerton for the development of the Downtown East Project. extension that not only fosters social connection, but also supports the essential facilities required to maintain the high level of services the Pflugerville community expects. The successful development of the Downtown East Project complements the City’s historical downtown.

Las autoridades acordaron este lunes reforzar con 300 agentes del Ejército mexicano y la Guardia Nacional la seguridad en el municipio de Apaseo el Grande, estado de Guanajuato, en el centro del país, tras la masacre del pasado 30 de noviembre, en la que fueron asesinadas ocho personas.

En un comunicado de la Secretaría de Gobierno del estado se apuntó que en una reunión la Secretaría de Seguridad y Paz estatal y la Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE), junto con la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (Defensa), definieron acciones para evitar que se repitan multihomicidios como el registrado hace dos días.

El pasado sábado ocho personas fueron asesinadas, entre ellas dos bomberos y un paramédico, y dos personas más resultaron heridas, en un ataque armado en el municipio de Apaseo el Grande.

Alrededor de las 22:00 horas dos hombres dispararon en contra de varias personas que asistían a varios establecimientos de comida, ubicados en la zona conocida como ‘Trébol de los Apaseos’, un sitio popular en el municipio, indicó el domingo la Fiscalía estatal tras las primeras investigaciones.
